For generations the region of La Alpujarra, in Granada, has been renowned for its prestigious ham curing, with excellent quality.

The climate in the area, which is situated in the heart of Sierra Nevada Nature Park, the abundant indigenous flora and north winds produce favourable natural conditions that the drying sheds and cellars use to imbue each piece with complex nuances and multiple aromas, with maturing in unbeatable conditions.

The lack of preservatives and the low salt content are essential and determining factors for a healthy and exquisite ham like El Alpujarreño.




I NATURAL CURING


The pieces of ham are made from selected high quality meat. Only sea salt is used for the curing process and the maturing process is checked in the cellar, controlling the temperature and the humidity in the air.
